Sunken Walkway
The central section of the front walkway has experienced settlement due to underlying voids, resulting in water accumulation during rain events. This condition not only poses drainage issues but also raises concerns for the homeowners regarding the long-term structural integrity and performance of the walkway.
Slab Jacks and PolyLevel
Slab jacks were employed to elevate and realign the sunken concrete slabs to their original grade. Once the slabs were properly positioned, PolyLevel-a high-density polyurethane foam-was injected beneath them to fill existing voids and provide long-term stabilization of the substrate, ensuring structural integrity and preventing future settlement.
NexusPro Joint Sealant
NexusPro, a high-performance joint and crack sealant, was applied to the walkway joints to prevent moisture infiltration beneath the concrete surface. By effectively sealing these vulnerable areas, the product mitigates the risk of subgrade erosion and potential slab displacement, thereby enhancing the longevity and durability of the walkway structure.
