Uneven Concrete Slabs
The pool deck exhibited early signs of structural settlement, as indicated by slab misalignment and minor surface cracking. These issues were attributed to voids forming beneath the concrete, compromising its ability to maintain uniform support. In preparation for transferring ownership of the property to their grandchild, the homeowner sought to stabilize the deck to ensure safety, structural integrity, and long-term durability.
Slab Jacks
Slab Jacks-our precision-engineered concrete lifting devices-were deployed to elevate and realign the settled concrete slabs to their intended position. This controlled lifting process ensures accurate slab placement, mitigates stress concentrations, and restores structural uniformity across the affected area.
PolyLevel
PolyLevel, a high-density structural polyurethane foam, was precisely injected beneath the concrete slabs while held in position by Slab Jacks. Upon expansion and curing, the foam effectively filled existing subgrade voids, reestablishing uniform support and contributing to long-term slab stabilization and load distribution.
Level and Stabilized Pool Deck
Following the injection of PolyLevel, all portholes used for material access were properly patched to restore the surface finish. The job site was thoroughly cleaned to ensure a professional presentation. The final result is a structurally stabilized and level pool deck, designed to withstand long-term environmental and load-related stresses.
