Farmington, NH Local Concrete Leveling Expert

Sunken and cracked concrete around your home is not only an eyesore but is also a safety hazard. As time goes by, if the problem isn’t corrected, it will only get worse. However, you have no reason to fret when you have the professionals at Erickson Foundation Solutions doing the work. Our experts use PolyLevel, a strong, and durable foam material to lift your concrete slabs back into place. We drill small holes into the slab where the foam is injected and expands, raising the concrete into place. Many other contractors will use mudjacking, but our method doesn’t disturb the area, takes less drying time, and is more affordable.

After repairing your concrete, consider a durable concrete sealant that extends the life of your slabs by 3 to 5 times overall in just one quick application. Our SealantPro concrete sealant bonds with concrete on a molecular level to protect slabs against oil, gasoline, water, debris, and more. Whether you have new slabs or existing slabs, SealantPro will work for you! Radon Gas Mitigation Systems

Radon gas is colorless, odorless, and as cancer-causing as to//bacco and asbestos. Radon gas is produced from the decaying of rocks and soil and comes up from the ground into your crawlspace and basements. The way our radon mitigation systems works in a pipe collects the gases that are coming from the soil. The gas is then piped upwards where a depressurization vent forces the radon out from your home. Our radon mitigation system is completely compatible with the current waterproofing system in your home. Get in contact with us now to learn how to protect your loved ones from the harmful effects of radon gas.

Avoiding Thermal Radiated Floors to Install Radon System, Farmington, NH

A homeowner in Farmington, New Hampshire, built their new home in October of 2022. Not even a year of living in their home they have become concerned with the radon levels within the home and are looking for a solution. The homeowners have a unique system on the floors of their basement that helps maintain the heat in the home. They have radiant heating installed under the slab of their basement. The heating system is often more efficient than forced air heating systems that tend to lose heat in the ducts and also bring in allergens. The problem with this system, as it relates to lowering the radon levels in the home, is that there are pipes that coil up and down the floor every couple of inches. The homeowner had reached out to a couple of companies in their area to see if they could install a system while avoiding damage to their radiant heating system. With the system being very expensive to repair if damaged, many of the companies turned away but not EFS. Our Design Specialist Jason Vachon met with the homeowner and carefully inspected the basement to determine if we had enough space between the heating lines to install our extraction point. Jason looked at the plans and found there will be enough room to install the system. After the inspection, Jason designed a radon system for the home and passed the design to the homeowner, and then once confirmed we sent them to our installation team.

Our Installation Team led by Branden Edwards arrived at the home and had to use a thermal imaging camera to identify where the lines of the heating system were located. The team then marked where they could install the extraction point and began drilling out a small 3" section of concrete. Next, the team installed PVC at the extraction point and fed it to the exterior of the home where the radon fan will be installed. Once the PVC pipe was fed to the exterior the team then installed the radon fan to the side of the home and connected the PVC pipe to the radon fan and then vented the system above the roofline of the home.

The homeowners were very impressed with EFS. We were able to come into a difficult job and still install our system and lower the radon levels in the home.

Water Entering Basement, Farmington, NH

This homeowner in Farmington, New Hampshire, has owned this property as a second home for the past 25 years. In the last couple of years, they have seen water coming into their basement more and more often. After dealing with water coming into the basement for the past 5 or 6 years the homeowner has finally had enough. They decided to call EFS for a free inspection of their basement. Our Design Specialist Anthony Bracato met with the homeowner and inspected the basement to find a solution to stop water from entering the basement and collect on the floors. Anthony recommended installing a perimeter drainage system complete with 50' of WaterGuard, 16' of Trench Drain, a TripleSafe, 2 IceGuard, and a 20' Exterior Drainage Line.

Our Installation Team led by Gunther Billhardt began by chipping out a trench around the entire perimeter of the basement. The trench has to be approximately 6 inches wide and a few inches deep so the WaterGuard and Trench Drain could fit under the slab. After the trench was made the team then chipped out a section of concrete so we could install our TripleSafe basin flush with the basement slab. To make the basin fit flush the team had to dig down about 2.5 feet. After the basin was installed the team then installed the TripleSafe sump pump into the basement and plumbed the system to the outside of the home. On the exterior of the home, the team installed 2 IceGuards and a 20' Exterior Drainage Line that was buried in the yard. After the IceGuard and drainage line were installed the team returned inside the basement to pour concrete over the WaterGuard, Trench Drain, and around the basin of the TripleSafe.

The homeowner was very pleased with the results of the project.

Homeowners Need Radon Mitigation for Newborn Child, Farmington, NH

This homeowner in Farmington, New Hampshire was concerned about the radon levels in their home because of their young baby. To make sure that doesn't happen the homeowners decided to call EFS for a free inspection.

Design Specialist Jason Vachon dropped off a radon test at the home. During the following days, the radon test continuously monitored the level of radon in the home. After the test was complete Jason came back to the home to collect the radon test and to go over the radon test results. The test results came back at 8.3 pCi/L which is high. Jason recommended installing a radon mitigation system in the home to help protect the new baby.

Crew Lead Dillon Kingsbury installed a new radon mitigation system into the home.

Radon Mitigation System, Farmington, NH

Sharon and Paul D. of Farmington, New Hampshire recently purchased their home. They received a radon test when they purchased their home. The levels from the test came back at 7.9 pCi/L, which is high. They decided to call Erickson Foundation Solutions to see if someone could come out and educate them on Radon. The reason that Sharon and Paul want to hear more about a radon mitigation system is that one of their parents is coming for a visit. Paul and Sharon don't want to expose them to anything harmful.

Design Specialist Paul Magowan came to the home and inspected the basement. He proposed that installing a radon mitigation system would help bring down the 7.9 pCi/l to a healthier level. The goal would be to have the pCi/l below 4.0 pCi/L, and Paul Magowan feels confident that a radon mitigation system will do that.

Crew Lead Branden Edwards came to the home and installed the radon mitigation system into the basement. Sharon and Paul were very pleased to have the radon mitigation system installed before the parents arrived.
