Foundation Problems Before & After Photos

A homeowner in Moultonborough, New Hampshire had a deteriorating fieldstone foundation that would leak, leaving the walls more susceptible to mold growth. Concerned with the structural integrity of the foundation, they contacted Erickson Foundation Solutions for assistance.

Our System Design Specialist, Jason Vachon, had advised the installation of our PolyWall to protect the fieldstone foundation from further degradation and to channel any leaking water into the existing perimeter drainage system. The PolyWall consists of polyurethane foam, which solidifies upon application, thereby enhancing the stability of the foundation wall. The installation team meticulously applied the durable polyurethane foam, skillfully navigating around egress windows, utilities, and the bulkhead door.

With the PolyWall now installed, the foundation's integrity is preserved, and the basement remains dry.

In Moultonborough, NH, a homeowner noticed their foundation sinking into the soil, a daunting problem that could severely impact their property's value and integrity. Because of the age of the home, the homeowners wanted to replace the beam and floor joist of the kitchen floor. For extra precaution, the homeowners decided to reach out to EFS for options of additional support under the new beam and joists. Our design specialist recommended installing 4 SmartJacks under the beam and installing CleanSpace in the crawlspace under the kitchen. 

The team installed the supports under the beam to support the new weight of the remodeled kitchen. After the SmartJacks were installed the team installed CleanSpace to encapsulate the crawlspace to prevent moisture and pests from entering the crawlspace. 

A homeowner of a home in Acton, Massachusetts, recently purchased their home 2 weeks ago. They had a home inspection look at the home before the sale was final and they noticed that the lally columns in the garage were rusting at the top and those lallys support a main beam that supports two floors above the garage. They call EFS for a free inspection on their lally columns. Our Design Specialist recommended replacing the lally columns with SmartJacks to support the main beam.
