This is the basement before Smart Jacks. You can see that some of the supports seem to be old and or rotting.
The holes for the Smart Jack footing are dug and placed under this support beam.
The tops of the Smart Jacks are adjustable and can attach to a beam that will lift up and support the floor about.
Concrete was poured over the footing to ensure that the Smart Jack would not move.
This homeowner in Greenville, New Hampshire, lives in a home that is over 100 years old. The floor has been sagging for a while and the homeowners want to repair them before it gets any worse. Design Specialist Brian Allen came to the home and examined the homeowner's concerns. He proposed that the homeowners install seven Smart Jacks into their basement to add support to the interior of the home. The Smart Jacks will add support to the beams that stretch across the foundation of the home. Crew Lead Scott Crandall and his team installed the Smart Jacks into the basement.
