Litchfield, NH Local Concrete Leveling Expert

Sunken and cracked concrete around your home is not only an eyesore but is also a safety hazard. As time goes by, if the problem isn’t corrected, it will only get worse. However, you have no reason to fret when you have the professionals at Erickson Foundation Solutions doing the work. Our experts use PolyLevel, a strong, and durable foam material to lift your concrete slabs back into place. We drill small holes into the slab where the foam is injected and expands, raising the concrete into place. Many other contractors will use mudjacking, but our method doesn’t disturb the area, takes less drying time, and is more affordable.

After repairing your concrete, consider a durable concrete sealant that extends the life of your slabs by 3 to 5 times overall in just one quick application. Our SealantPro concrete sealant bonds with concrete on a molecular level to protect slabs against oil, gasoline, water, debris, and more. Whether you have new slabs or existing slabs, SealantPro will work for you! We also offer a translucent tinted concrete sealer, DecoShield, which adds a unique visual appeal to your home's slabs while preventing pitting, flaking, cracks, and other moisture-related issues.

Radon Gas Mitigation Systems

Radon gas is colorless, odorless, and as cancer-causing as to//bacco and asbestos. Radon gas is produced from the decaying of rocks and soil and comes up from the ground into your crawlspace and basements. The way our radon mitigation systems works in a pipe collects the gases that are coming from the soil. The gas is then piped upwards where a depressurization vent forces the radon out from your home. Our radon mitigation system is completely compatible with the current waterproofing system in your home. Get in contact with us now to learn how to protect your loved ones from the harmful effects of radon gas.

Job Stories From Litchfield, NH
Flooded Basement Repair in Litchfield, NH

In Litchfield, NH, a homeowner reached out to us at Erickson Foundation Solutions with an all-too-familiar problem – a flooded basement. The space, primarily used for storage, was constantly troubled by water intrusion, making it pretty much unusable and a constant source of worry.

After the homeowner contacted our friendly Customer Care team, we sent out System Design Specialist Matthew Robichaud to inspect the situation firsthand. Matthew, after a thorough inspection, recommended an integrated solution that would not just patch the problem but fix it long-term. Following the diagnosis, our proposal included installing our trusted WaterGuard drainage system along with the high-capacity TripleSafe Sump Pump. But we didn't stop there; understanding New Hampshire's tendency for ice, we added IceGuard to prevent freezing damage and the SaniDry Sedona to keep the space dry and healthy. Our production crew, led by experienced field supervisor Steve Dumais, swung into action not long after. The install was precise, disrupting the homeowner's daily life minimally while ensuring the solution was both functional and sleek. By efficiently channeling water away from the basement and employing a powerful pump to evacuate collected water effectively, we mitigated the flooding issue substantially. Moreover, IceGuard took care of potential freezing issues and with the addition of SaniDry Sedona, the basement was not just dry, but also healthier - combating mold and mildew growth vigorously.

By the time our crew packed up, leaving no mess behind, but a solid waterproofing solution, the transformation was palpable. The homeowner now enjoys complete peace of mind and a fully reclaimable basement space, safe from previous water woes. It was another job that emphasized our mission to provide a remarkable customer experience allied with a reliable and enduring solution.

Radon Gas Mitigation System Installation in Litchfield, MA

Josh K. of Litchfield, New Hampshire just moved into his newly constructed home and plans to finish his basement. Before investing in the finished basement, he first wanted to ensure that he had all the systems installed in his basement to make sure the home was safe. This included a radon gas mitigation system. Following a referral, he contacted Erickson Foundation Solutions for assistance.

Following a consultation with our Customer Care team, an appointment was arranged with System Design Specialist John Prince. John conducted a comprehensive inspection of the basement, while also monitoring for any additional basement and foundation issues. Post-inspection, John suggested the installation of our radon mitigation system. The installation crew initiated the project by creating a small circular opening in the concrete to form an extraction point for the system. A radon vent pipe was attached at this point and extended to the exterior of the home, where the radon fan was installed on the side. More radon pipes were connected to the fan, running up the exterior and above the roofline to avert radon re-entry. Once the fan was verified for functionality, the homeowners received a Charcoal Test Kit to check the radon levels after about a week.

With the installation of the radon mitigation system, Josh's house is now protected from the dangerous gas.

Sagging Floor in 1950s Home, Litchfield, NH

A homeowner in Litchfield, New Hampshire, had sagging floors on the main level of their 1950s home. The homeowners had installed hardwood floors recently and noticed the floor was sagging. The homeowners want to level and stabilize the floors so it wouldn't be an issue when they sell the home down the road. They decided to call EFS for a free inspection and our Design Specialist Isaac recommended installing SmartJacks in the basement.

Our production team began by marking where each of the 3 SmartJacks will be installed. Once marked the team then proceeded to chip out some concrete so we could install our Big SmartJack footings under the concrete. Two of the SmartJacks being installed needed to have a supplemental beam installed to capture more of the floor system so we could level it. Our team connected our SmartJacks to the supplemental beam and then used the adjustable top to level and stabilize the floors above. The team made sure that the SmartJacks were leveled before encasing the footings of the SmartJacks in concrete.

The homeowners were very pleased with the results of the project. They no longer have to deal with the sagging floors in there home.

Foundation Wall Crack, Litchfield, NH

A homeowner in Litchfield, New Hampshire, had a crack in their foundation. Over the past couple of years, the crevice has been getting bigger. Our design specialist examined the foundation and recommended installing FlexiSpan and a SaniDry to control the humidity in the basement.

Our production team installed 8 feet of FlexiSpan to the foundation wall in the basement. The homeowner had previously had a TripleSafe Sump and a WaterGuard system installed into their basement. The crew will tie the FlexiSpan into the WaterGuard so that any water can pass into the WaterGuard system and then trickle into the TripleSafe. After the FlexiSpan was installed, the team installed the SaniDry and connected the discharge line to the TripleSafe.

Front Stair Replacement and Lift and Level Walkway, Litchfield, NH

Corlyn Y. of Litchfield, New Hampshire had been experiencing an issue where the front steps of her home were causing her front walkway to sink and crack. The front steps were overlapping the walkway and all the weight of the stairs was putting pressure on the walkway, which is causing the walkway to sink and crack.

Corlyn and her husband have been living in this home for over 35 years. Corlyn decided it was time to call someone for a repair as they plan to sell this home in the coming fall to move down to Delaware for their retirement. She called Erickson Foundation Solutions for a free inspection of her front stairs and walkway.

Senior Design Specialist Michael LaMalfa arrived at the home and inspected the walkway and the front stairs. After Michael's inspection, he recommended to Corlyn that it would be beneficial to them to install a new precast set of stairs and use PolyLevel to lift and level the walkway.

Foreman Jon Provost and a small crew came to the home. They first removed the old set of stairs from the home using an excavator. Following the stairs being removed, the crew used slab jacks and PolyLevel to lift and level the walkway back to its original position. After the walkway was releveled, the crew used the excavator again to move the new stairs into place. To prevent the new stairs from sinking, as the old stairs did, the team installed two helical piers and a horizontal beam across the front of the stairs.
