One of our experienced System Design Specialists then met with the homeowner, conducting a detailed assessment of the basement to pin down the entry points for the unwanted water. Based on these insights, a custom solution was devised, centered around a cutting-edge TripleSafe Sump Pump system, the innovative IceGuard is designed to prevent sump discharge line freeze-ups, and the powerful SaniDry Sedona to tackle the humidity levels, eliminating dampness and potential mold growth. Our dedicated production team took the lead from there, deploying their expertise to efficiently install these systems. The TripleSafe Sump Pump was placed strategically to manage and redirect any incoming water seamlessly, with the IceGuard supplementing as an outdoor line blockage preventative during the freezing Massachusetts winters. Recently, in Needham, MA, we faced a challenge that was a tad bit different from our usual residential calls. A commercial pool at a community center was dealing with a serious safety issue – the perimeter of the pool deck was sinking, creating trip hazards that could've easily put the fun on pause for everyone. The homeowner reached out, concerned about the safety of the community members and looking for a swift and effective solution.

True to our mission of providing a remarkable customer experience and reliable solutions, our Customer Care team quickly scheduled a home inspection appointment. When our System Design Specialist John Prince arrived, it was clear what needed to be done. Using a thorough inspection, the underlying issue was diagnosed: the soil beneath the pool deck had settled, causing the concrete to sink. Our recommended solution was our PolyLevel product, known for its efficiency and minimum invasiveness. This state-of-the-art solution not only promised a quick fix but also ensured a long-lasting remedy to the unsettling problem. Our production team, made up of experienced foreman Kris Sergi and skilled installers, then got to work. They meticulously injected PolyLevel beneath the pool deck, carefully raising it back to its original level. This process, remarkable in its precision, seamlessly addressed the hazard without disrupting the pool's daily operations.

Although a sump pump was already installed in the home, water continued to seep through the foundation. Looking to fully waterproof the basement so the finished space could be utilized, she reached out to Erickson Foundation Solutions.

Our Customer Care team set up an appointment for Design Specialist, Scott Ruisi, to go out to the home to conduct a free home inspection. After completing the inspection, Scott recommended installing WaterGuard perimeter drainage, TripleSafe sump pump system, and SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. Our installation crew started work on this project by demolishing the lower finished basement wall and chipping out concrete along the entire perimeter of the foundation. This allowed space for the WaterGuard system to be put in. WaterGuard serves as a vessel that collects water from the outside wet soil and delivers it to the sump basin. Foreman, Justin Broussard, dug out thick wet clay under the foundation slab in order to construct the sump basin. Once dug out, the TripleSafe sump pump system was put in place. The TripleSafe is a three-pump system that pumps water out of the home, even during power outages thanks to our battery-powered backup pump. The WaterGuard system was installed to the TripleSafe. Once tested, everything was cemented in place. An exterior discharge line was then connected to the sump pump system. This plumbing system allows water to safely be removed from the home. In order to eliminate the risk of pipes freezing, IceGuard was installed to the discharge line. IceGuard allows water to flow freely despite freezing temperatures. The SaniDry Sedona was connected to the TripleSafe to eliminate moisture in the home and provide excellent air quality, reducing mold spores and other toxins. Since connected to the TripleSafe, the SaniDry Sedona automatically drains into it, creating a hassle-free process.

After finishing the job and tidying up the workspace, Justin performed a final walkthrough with Kathryn to showcase the work that was done and answer any questions she had. She now has peace of mind that her finished basement is permanently protected from leaks and floods.

A homeowner in Needham, Massachusetts, had some cracks in their garage. The homeowner planned to stay in the home for the next 10-20 years. They also planned to install a piano above the garage and would like some advice to know if they should upgrade their supports in the garage. Our design specialist Kenny examined the garage and found that the floor has settled, and that has caused cracks in the slab. The homeowner asked Kenny's opinion on adding support in the garage for their piano. Kenny recommended replacing the current supports in the garage with SmartJacks and injecting PolyLevel under the garage slab. 

Our production team led by Steve began repairs on the garage. First, they began installing the SmartJacks in the garage to strengthen the floor above. The team chipped out a section of concrete to install the base of the support. To ensure the base doesn't sink or shift under the concrete we use engineered fill and concrete to make a solid base for the new supports to rest on. Finally, the SmartJacks were secured to the beam above, and the bases were casted in concrete to keep the SmartJack in place. Next, the team installed the PolyLevel under the slab to eliminate the settlement. The team used short bursts of Poly in a grid pattern around the entire slab to fill any void. Once all the void is filled, the team seals all of the ports and used NexusPro to seal the cracks in the slab. 

The team eliminated the settlement in the garage floor, sealed the cracks, and strengthened the floor above for their new piano.
