A homeowner in Sherborn, Massachusetts, has lived in their home for the past 6 years. Recently, the neighbors came by the house and told the homeowners that they recently had a radon mitigation system installed into their home because their home tested above the recommended radon levels. The homeowner decided to test their home based on what their neighbors had told them, and to their surprise, the levels in their home were at 5.8 above the recommended levels of 4.0 pCi/L. They decided to call EFS for a free inspection and our Design Specialist Kenny, recommended and designed a Radon Mitigation System to be installed in their home.
Our installation team began by creating an extraction point into the basement slab. The team then fits the PCV pipe to the extraction point and feeds the PVC pipe to the exterior of the home. Once the PVC pipe was fed to the exterior of the home the team then installed the radon fan and connected them. After they were fitted together, the team then used more PVC pipe to vent the system above the roofline of the home.
The homeowner was very happy their neighbors warned them about radon in their home, and they were very impressed with the installation of the Radon Mitigation System by EFS.
