In Candia, New Hampshire, a homeowner observed their backyard concrete deck gradually sinking and developing cracks over the past 17 years. The condition has deteriorated over time, presenting trip hazards and diminishing the deck's appearance. To prevent further damage, they sought assistance from Erickson Foundation Solutions.
Our Design Specialist, Anthony Brancato, recommended installing PolyLevel and NexusPro to rejuvenate the concrete. The installation team began the project by injecting PolyLevel, a type of polyurethane foam, beneath the sunken concrete areas. They utilized slab jacks to elevate the concrete to the appropriate level, filling the voids below. This method raises, levels, and stabilizes the concrete. Subsequently, NexusPro, a sealant for cracks and joints, was applied to the areas most impacted by previous damage, preventing future settling and cracking.
The use of these products successfully removed the tripping hazards and enhanced the deck's appearance. Our team maintained communication with the homeowner during the entire project, and he was extremely pleased with the outcome.
In Millis, MA, a significant settlement issue affected a homeowner’s pool deck area, reducing safety and functionality. As seen, the before photo shows how drastically the concrete had settled by 6 inches near the diving board end. Utilizing the advanced PolyLevel® system, we expertly lifted and leveled the deck by injecting high-strength polyurethane foam beneath the slabs. Once elevated, NexusPro® Joint Sealant was applied to the concrete joints, preventing further water infiltration. The after photo displays the remarkable restoration and improvement in the deck's structural integrity and appearance.
A homeowner in Natick, Massachusetts, lived in the home that her parents had built in 1989. Around 2009 they redid the basement bathroom and the company who did the work noticed there was a void under the slab. They paid a company to come out and fill the void with cement. Now over a decade later, the problem has only gotten worse and the homeowners are looking to find a permanent solution. They reached out to EFS for a free inspection of their foundation. Our Design Specialist met with the homeowners and talked about their experience with this issue and what their goals were. After learning about the issue Mark looked at the foundation and found that the foundation had settled and a section of the concrete had cracked. Mark designed a solution for the homeowners which included installing 18 Push Piers, 80 feet of NexusPro Crack Repair, and PolyLevel.
In Natick, MA, the homeowner faced a challenging situation: rodents and falling insulation disrupted their crawl space. The previously installed liner failed to encapsulate the area effectively, leaving room for moisture-related issues. As seen in the before photo, the crawl space was far from optimal. Through expert installation, our team addressed the problem using CleanSpace™ products. CleanSpace™ Drainage Matting ensures efficient water drainage while encapsulating the space with a durable liner. Note in the after photo how we transformed this crawl space into a clean, dry environment using our proven solutions at Erickson Foundation Solutions.
