The floors were sagging and a little creaky, and so the support columns needed to be replaced and upgraded to something more substantial. Our team reinforced the floor system and support beams with our patented SmartJack system, steel support posts with wide bases and adjustable brackets. Once the SmartJack columns were in place and the beams were permanently stabilized, the dirt floor of the crawlspace was then also covered with Cleanspace vapor barrier. This encapsulation system will help control humidity levels, improve air quality (prevents dust and mites), and create an all around cleaner crawlspace for the homeowners.
