A homeowner in Groveland, Massachusetts wants to redo his kitchen but first noticed that his floors were sloping. Before he commits to investing in the kitchen, he wants to make sure the floors are properly supported in order to protect his investment.
Our Design Specialist, George Gouthier, recommended adding SmartJacks to stabilize the floor and support the home. These SmartJacks are similar to Lally columns but offer more support. They are installed by placing a galvanized steel plate in the foundation. The steel post attaches to plate and the above supplemental support beam. These posts are then cemented in place.
Now that the posts are installed, floors are stable and level. This homeowner can now confidently invest in his kitchen without experiencing issues down the road.
