An autobody shop in Worcester, MA had been experiencing issues with cars entering and exiting the bays due to sinking concrete. Voids underneath the concrete had caused the concrete to sink, creating an uneven surface. This business reached out to Erickson Foundation Solutions to lift and stabilize the concrete.
Our Design Specialist recommended installing PolyLevel concrete leveling and NexusPro joint repair. PolyLevel is a polyurethane foam that is injected underneath the concrete to fill the voids and almost instantly create a level surface. This is a quick and permanent solution that costs a fraction of installing new concrete. Once the PolyLevel lifted the concrete, NexusPro was used to seal the joints between the concrete. NexusPro prevents water from invading the soil underneath the concrete, preventing concrete cracks or becoming uneven. It is resistant to UV rays to prevent the sealant from cracking, foaming, or drying.
With the concrete now lifted to its original placement, both employees and customers can rejoice that cars can easily make their way in and out of the bays.
In Temple, NH, Erickson Foundation Solutions addressed an exterior garage apron that had sunk 2.5 inches. The challenge was to lift it without disturbing the rest of the slab. To solve this, we used an I beam lift for balance and employed slab jacks and PolyLevel® for precision lifting. Notice in the after photo how we've stabilized and leveled the slab. To ensure longevity, we applied SealantPro® to protect the surface, finishing with NexusPro® to seal the joints and portholes. The apron, refreshed and solid, is now ready to withstand the elements.
This section of concrete patio for this homeowner had cracked and settled 5 inches. Rather than completely tear out and replace the entire patio, or even sections like this, our team successfully installed PolyLevel to lift and level out the concrete slab. The results in this corner of the patio were outstanding! The patio went from being an unsightly trip hazard, to being raised up to level and safe. And no demolition required.
A homeowner in Cranston, Rhode Island was concerned with their concrete patio cracking and settling, creating tripping hazards. Noticing that the problem was getting worse, they wanted to lift and stabilize the concrete before further damage occurred.
Our Design Specialist, Jim Meglio, went to the home to conduct a free home inspection. After completing the inspection, he recommended installing PolyLevel to lift and level the sunken concrete. PolyLevel is a polyurethane foam used to fill voids between the soil and concrete. Our installation crew drilled tiny holes in the concrete in order to inject the foam. After lifting the concrete back to its original spot, NexusPro joint repair was used to seal the cracks. NexusPro stops water from making its way underneath the concrete, preventing shifting and cracking.
With the application of these products, the patio has become a safe and more visually appealing space.
This before and after series highlights the effectiveness of PolyLevel for lifting and leveling concrete slabs. This homeowner was very concerned with the individual concrete slabs he had running along his view of the Merrimack River in Manchester, NH. There were several tripping hazards, and overall it was becoming more and more unsightly.
Our concrete repair team successfully leveled various sections of the patio for the homeowner, while also sealing all the joints and exposed cracks for additional layer of protection. With rainwater unable to seep beneath and cause more erosion, this concrete is protected for years to come.
