A homeowner in Beverly, Massachusetts, purchased their home less than a month ago and had noticed cracks in the drywall on the main level of the home. The cracks were located above doorways and on walls.

Our Design Specialist met with the homeowners and looked at the main level and basement of the home to determine what was causing the cracks. Our specialist found that the floor system in the areas of the cracks was not supported enough. They recommended installing 3 SmartJacks in the basement. Our Design Specialist, Jason Vachon, recommended installing SmartJacks to stabilize the floor and support the structure of the home. This rental property owner has a property in Portsmouth, New Hampshire that required some attention. The owner had noticed a bow on her foundation wall as well as some waterproofing concerns. She decided to call EFS for a free inspection for homeowners.

Michael thinks that the crack in the wall is because of hydrostatic pressure. He had also found some moisture issues in the basement.
