Auxiliary Wall Installation, Dover, NH

This homeowner in Dover, New Hampshire was experiencing deteriorating fieldstone in their investment property. They decided to call EFS for a free inspection.

A design specialist arrived at the home and inspected the basement. The design specialist recommended installing an auxiliary wall to the fieldstone foundation to stop the wall from deteriorating from the inside. The basement also needed masonry block repair and over 100' of Water Guard and a Super Sump to be installed.

Masonry Block Wall Installation, Dover, NH

A resident of Dover, New Hampshire had intended to replace the windows in their old home from the late 1800s. However, the window technician who came to assess the project noticed that the windows were no longer square and difficult to open. The technician advised the homeowner to have their foundation inspected before proceeding with window replacement. The homeowner contacted EFS for a free foundation inspection, and our Design Specialist, Jason Vachon, met with them to conduct the inspection. Based on the findings, Jason recommended several products to stabilize the foundation, including installing a new section using Mason Block.

Foundation Wall Repair Before Selling Home in Dover, NH

In Dover, NH, an inspection report revealed a pressing issue for a homeowner aiming to sell: a deflecting rear wall moving inward by 1.5 inches, marked by horizontal and stair-step cracks. Such instability demanded immediate attention. We implemented the PowerBrace™ System, custom-fitting zinc-plated steel beams to safeguard the foundation integrity permanently. This innovative solution halts inward movement and potentially reverses wall damage over time, ensuring reliable stabilization without invasive procedures—an essential step toward a successful home sale. Observe the substantial improvement evidenced by these structural corrections.

Sinking Floor Repair in Salem, MA

A homeowner in Salem, MA noticed sinking and sagging floors in his home. Looking to permanently stabilize the floors and provide support to the home, he reached out to Erickson Foundation Solutions.

Our Design Specialist, Kenneth Calabrese, recommended installing SmartJacks in the basement. These SmartJacks are similar to Lally columns, while offering more support and providing permanent stability. Typically, these SmartJacks are cemented into the foundation. Since the basement floor was composed of pebbles, the SmartJack steel plates were buried in them. This allows for the SmartJacks to be cemented into the foundation if/when the homeowner has a concrete slab poured.

With the installation of these 5 SmartJacks, the floors are now stabilized and level.
