Water was entering through the footing joint on the right side of their home and near their oil tank—issues that needed to be resolved before they could safely proceed with the renovation. Understanding the urgency and importance of this project, they contacted Erickson Foundation Solutions.

Our Customer Care Specialist promptly scheduled a home inspection. Our System Design Specialist conducted a comprehensive analysis and identified that installing our proven systems—WaterGuard, TripleSafe Sump Pump, and IceGuard—would offer a reliable solution. Our production team arrived to carefully install the WaterGuard drainage system. This sub-floor perimeter drainage was hidden beneath the concrete, ensuring the homeowner’s future basement finish wouldn’t be affected visually. The WaterGuard adeptly captures wall and floor seepage, channeling water efficiently towards the sump pump system, thereby preventing future leaks. Paired with the WaterGuard was our TripleSafe Sump Pump. With three pumps integrated into a single, resilient system, it provides triple layers of protection. Assured that it handles high water volumes and keeps running during power outages, the homeowner could have peace of mind about devastating floods being effectively managed. To prevent external blockages like freezing, we equipped the discharge with IceGuard, safeguarding against clogs and ensuring water would escape unobstructed in all weather conditions.

Upon completion, the homeowner had a dry, safeguarded basement, ready to be transformed into the living space they envisioned. This task demonstrates our dedication to remarkable customer experiences and delivering solid, lasting solutions.

Waterproofing and Eliminating Mold, New Durham, NH

After providing a free inspection, our Design Specialist Jason Vachon recommended installing our TripleSafe sump pump along with our WaterGuard perimeter drainage system. This system is designed to capture water at the perimeter of the basement and drain into the sump pump, where it is then pumped out of the house through an exterior drainage line. Jason also recommended installing a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to take moisture out of the basement and alleviate issues with the mold. Michael and Angela loved that solution and our installation crew got to work.

The TripleSafe sump pump was installed at the lowest point of the basement, where we chipped out concrete and created a basin for the pump to sit. The WaterGuard perimeter drainage system was implemented around the edge of the basement floor, and then connected to the sump pump. Once that was complete, we cemented the entire system in place. We then installed the exterior drainage line (or EDL) and buried it underground where the water would drain in a safe location. Lastly, we installed the SaniDry Sedona next to the sump pump.
Once this waterproofing system was in place, the basement was no longer at risk of flooding. Now, these homeowners can enjoy their finished basement safely with peace of mind.
