Before they started finishing the basement they tested for radon. The results of their test were 12 pCi/L which is well over the recommended amount. After they received the results of their radon test they decided to reach out to contractors in the area that installed radon mitigation systems. They found Erickson Foundation Solutions and decided to call EFS for a free inspection.
Design Specialist John Prince inspected the basement. John recommended installing a radon mitigation system to be installed in the home.

They have a radon mitigation system installed in their home but the levels were still above the recommended amount. The homeowners decided to call EFS for a free inspection and our Design Specialist recommended installing an ERV system to improve the air quality in the home.
This homeowner in West Roxbury, Massachusetts had been working from home since the pandemic started. The homeowner would like to make sure that the home air quality is not harmful. The homeowners tested their home for radon and the results came back around 8.7 pCi/L. They decided to call EFS for a free inspection.
Design Specialist Justin Wenners inspected the home and went through any preferences that the homeowners had. The homeowners suggested that the radon fan be installed between the bulkhead and the shed. Justin designed a radon mitigation system that fits their suggestions.

The test results from inside the basement were above 4.0 pCi/L so our Design Specialist recommended and designed a radon system to lower the radon levels below 4.0 pCi/L. Our installation team installed the radon system in only a few hours and lowered the radon levels below 4.0 pCi/L.
