This homeowner in Stoneham, Massachusetts needed a Radon Mitigation System. The homeowner had gotten their house tested for radon and the levels came back at 27 pCi/l. A normal level of radon in a house is 4.0 pCi/l or less. The homeowner was worried about having high radon levels because they have cancer that runs in their family and didn't want to risk themselves more. The homeowner called Erickson Foundations Supportworks and made an appointment to come out to their house and design a Radon System.
John Prince was the Design Specialist on this project. He was the person who visited the homeowner's home and designed a Radon Mitigation System for their home. Scott Crandall was the Team Lead on this project. He and his team successfully installed the radon system into the homeowner's house.
The homeowner was pleased with how the installation went. They also were relieved that the pCi/l levels were reduced to under 4.

A homeowner in Stoneham, Massachusetts, was moving out west for work and was selling their home in Stoneham. The homeowner had placed their home on the market and after a couple of weeks received an offer that had a stipulation. The offer included the homeowner having a radon test done and installing a radon mitigation system installed in the home before the purchase went through. The homeowner decided to call EFS for a free radon inspection and test. Our CRM test came back at 13.9 pCi/L and our design specialist recommended installing a radon mitigation system with 3 extraction points.
A resident in Stoneham, Massachusetts bought their house in 2017 and tested it for radon, with results showing it was below the recommended level at 2 pCi/L. However, after almost 6 years and using their basement more often, they decided to conduct another test which showed an average of 7 pCi/L. Concerned about the high levels, they contacted EFS to install a radon mitigation system. Our Design Specialist Dan met with the homeowner to create a system tailored to their home. Our team then installed the system to lower the radon levels and ensure a safer living environment.
A homeowner in North Reading, MA had an existing Radon Mitigation System but it was no longer working properly. A Home Inspector came and felt air coming through the foundation which was the reason for high radon levels. He concluded that the homeowner would need a second Radon Mitigation System. Michael Biedrzycki designed a new system to install in the basement. Scott Crandall and the team installed it. The before picture shows where the new Radon Mitigation System will be set up. The after picture shows both the new and the old Radon Mitigation System. With both systems running the radon levels have returned to below 4.0 pCi/l.
