Erickson Foundation Solutions Before & After Photos

A homeowner in Wakefield, Massachusetts had been experiencing sagging floors. Although this was very annoying, it caused a greater concern for the long-term health of the structure. This led to the homeowner reaching out to our Erickson Foundation Solutions team in search of a way to stabilize her home.

Our Design Specialist, Nikki Burke, recommended installing SmartJacks to support the home and stabilize the floors. This homeowner already had Lally columns all throughout her basement, but they could not provide the proper support that was needed. SmartJacks offer more support by inserting a galvanized steel plate into the foundation. This steel plate sits on a sturdy base of crushed stone. The galvanized steel post is then attached to the plate, and also connects to a supplemental beam. Once installed, they are cemented in place.

The SmartJacks not only prevented the floor from sinking further, but they also raised and leveled the floor as well. This homeowner was thrilled that the sagging and uneven floors had been fixed, and that the structure of her home is now properly supported!

A homeowner in Wakefield, Massachusetts was concerned with tripping hazards that formed on his concrete deck. This was due to settling over the years, which also caused cracks. With younger kids playing around the house, he wanted to make sure the deck was a safe space for his forever home. He reached out to our Erickson team for a permanent solution.

Our Design Specialist, Kenneth Calabrese, recommended installing PolyLevel and NexusPro to lift, level, and stabilize the concrete. PolyLevel is a polyurethane foam that is injected underneath the concrete slab, instantly providing lift. Our installation crew then levels the concrete, thus eliminating trip hazards. With the concrete lifted and leveled, NexusPro is then installed to seal concrete joints and cracks. This silicone-based sealant prevents further settling and cracking, while offering an attractive aesthetic to the concrete deck.

After seeing the final result, the homeowner was thrilled to have a safe and attractive looking deck.

Faced with a damp and musty crawl space due to wall seepage, this Boston home was in desperate need of a makeover. As you can see in the 'before' photo, the area was less than inviting, contributing to lingering odors throughout the home. A homeowner in Melrose, Massachusetts had a big gap between the pool and concrete deck. He was concerned with critters going into this gap, as well as the unappealing look and tripping hazards. Looking to restore the pool area, he reached out to Erickson Foundation Solutions.

Our Design Specialist, Kenneth Calabrese, recommended installing PolyLevel to lift and level the concrete. Voids underneath the concrete are filled by this polyurethane foam, creating permanent stability. Foreman Nick Melo was able to lift the concrete 4" to bring the concrete back to its original placement.

A homeowner in Lee, New Hampshire, has lived in their home for over 30 years. During the winter they find that the floors of their main floor get very cold. They called EFS so we could find a solution to add insulation to their crawlspace. Our Specialist met with the homeowner and inspected the crawlspace.
