Design Specialist Michael LaMalfa inspected the interior and exterior of the home. Michael confirmed that there is a large crack on the brick foundation wall. Michael explained to the homeowner that a crack this size on a brick or block foundation wall can diminish the integrity of the wall. Michael recommended demolishing the cracked wall and building a new block foundation wall.

When the homeowners received the results from their radon test, they were shocked by the results. The radon test that they had purchased, came back with a radon reading of 52.9 pCi/L. Brian came back a couple of days later and checked the results of the radon test and then conducted his inspection of the home. The results of the test the EFS came back at 5.9 pCi/L. Brian recommended installing radon mitigation into the basement.
