In Medway, MA, a concerned homeowner reached out to us at Erickson Foundation Solutions due to a settling pool deck causing dangerous trip hazards, notably problematic with a young son around. The culprit was soil washout, leading to unsettling cracks. As you can see in the before photo, the deck was compromised. To address this issue, we injected our PolyLevel system, safely lifting and stabilizing the slabs. The use of NexusPro Joint Sealant further secured the integrity by preventing washout using its lasting moisture-resistant capability. Notice the restored and smooth surface in the after photo, providing peace of mind and renewed stability.

The walkway at this home in Narraganset, RI had sunken several inches, and a large trip hazard had formed where it met a set of stairs. This homeowner in Auburn, New Hampshire, had seen shifting in their garage slab. The homeowners had Geolocks installed by EFS two years ago in 2021. The Geolocks were installed but the team recommended PolyLevel as well but the homeowners opted away from the PolyLevel. Now years later they are wishing they installed the PolyLevel when they had the Geolocks installed.
In Candia, New Hampshire, a homeowner observed their backyard concrete deck gradually sinking and developing cracks over the past 17 years. The condition has deteriorated over time, presenting trip hazards and diminishing the deck's appearance. To prevent further damage, they sought assistance from Erickson Foundation Solutions.
Our Design Specialist, Anthony Brancato, recommended installing PolyLevel and NexusPro to rejuvenate the concrete. The installation team began the project by injecting PolyLevel, a type of polyurethane foam, beneath the sunken concrete areas. They utilized slab jacks to elevate the concrete to the appropriate level, filling the voids below. This method raises, levels, and stabilizes the concrete. Subsequently, NexusPro, a sealant for cracks and joints, was applied to the areas most impacted by previous damage, preventing future settling and cracking.
The use of these products successfully removed the tripping hazards and enhanced the deck's appearance. Our team maintained communication with the homeowner during the entire project, and he was extremely pleased with the outcome.
