Crawl Space Repair Before & After Photos

This homeowner in Sudbury, MA had a crawlspace area with an old plastic barrier that needed updating. Our team designed and proposed a solution to replace the vapor barrier with Cleanspace, and also replace the old wooden supports which were holding up the floor above. 

The first stage of the project involved removing the wooden posts and replacing them with SmartJack crawlspace supports. Once these were in place, Cleanspace vapor barrier was installed across the entire floor of the crawlspace and up the walls. 

This homeowner in Sudbury, Massachusetts, purchased their 80-year-old home in 2019. When they purchased the home, the inspector noted in their inspection that the vapor barrier in the crawlspace should be replaced. The homeowner didn't have the money at that time but a couple of years later they decided to call EFS for a free inspection. We inspected the crawlspace and confirmed that the vapor barrier should be replaced, but our Design Specialist also noticed that the floor system was sagging and should be stabilized. Our Design Specialist recommended installing CleanSpace and SmartJacks into the crawlspace to re-encapsulate the space and add support to the floor system.
