In Harvard, MA, a homeowner faced a severe problem with rusting supports in their dirt crawl space, risking the stability of their home's structure. We implemented our proven SmartJack® System to address this issue. This system stabilizes the crawl space beams and floor joists effectively. As evident in the photo, the rust-congested area has since been replaced with galvanized steel columns, set on a solid base, which now provides robust support and adjustable brackets to secure and lift the structure. This ensures the home's foundation is secure and reliable.
A homeowner in Harvard, Massachusetts, has a crawlspace that they would like to be encapsulated. The homeowner called EFS for a free inspection and our Design Specialist recommended encapsulating the crawlspace and installing a dehumidifier to clean up the space and control the humidity down there.
In Bow, NH, the homeowners were renovating an addition and required effective insulation and encapsulation for their crawl space. The before photo shows a damp and uninviting atmosphere, a typical challenge in unsealed areas. We fixed this by installing SilverGlo crawl space insulation and CleanSpace encapsulation systems, along with Drainage Matting and TerraBlock. These upgrades transformed the space into a clean and energy-efficient environment, reducing moisture and potential mold issues. The after photo captures a healthier and properly sealed foundation, ready for further renovation efforts.
In the before photo, notice how the homeowner's crawl space in Ayer, MA showed signs of damage, with falling insulation and debris contributing to cold floors and musty odors. At Erickson Foundation Solutions, we tackled these issues head-on. As shown in the after photo, we implemented our encapsulation system featuring CleanSpace™ Drainage Matting for effective water management, and TerraBlock™ for superior insulation. These solutions aid in maintaining a dry, clean foundation, successfully restoring comfort and air quality in the homeowner's living space.
A homeowner in Tilton, New Hampshire, noticed the floors in their home were sagging. They moved into their home at the end of 2020 and quickly noticed a sag in the middle of their floors. They decided to call EFS for a free inspection and our Design Specialist recommended installing SmartJacks into their crawlspace to eliminate the sag in their floors.
Our team installed a total of 15 SmartJacks to three different beams in the crawlspace to eliminate the sagging of the floors.
