A homeowner in Goffstown, NH had concerns with water flooding his crawl space. Although the owner had the personal belongings on wooden crates, over 3 inches of water filled the crawl space and damaged them. Looking to keep the crawl space dry all the time, he reached out to Erickson Foundation Solutions.
Our Design Specialist, Josh Phillips, recommended installing WaterGuard perimeter drainage and SmartSump sump pump to waterproof the crawl space. WaterGuard captures water along the border of the crawl space where the walls and floor meet and deliver water to the sump pump. The sump pump removes water out of the home through an exterior discharge line.
This waterproofing system keeps the crawl space dry all the time, ensuring the safety of the homeowner's storage space.
A homeowner in Canterbury, New Hampshire, had seen an ad in their local newspaper for crawlspace encapsulation and other services. The homeowners have lived in their home for the past 35 years and have wanted to improve the conditions of their crawlspace. The crawlspace was covered with dirt and debris and allowed moisture and drafts into the home. They reached out to EFS for a free inspection and our Design Specialist recommended encapsulating the crawlspace with CleanSpace, SilverGlo, Rim Joist Insulation, and a SaniDry Sedona to control the humidity.
In Harvard, MA, a homeowner faced a severe problem with rusting supports in their dirt crawl space, risking the stability of their home's structure. We implemented our proven SmartJack® System to address this issue. This system stabilizes the crawl space beams and floor joists effectively. As evident in the photo, the rust-congested area has since been replaced with galvanized steel columns, set on a solid base, which now provides robust support and adjustable brackets to secure and lift the structure. This ensures the home's foundation is secure and reliable.

In Bow, NH, the homeowners were renovating an addition and required effective insulation and encapsulation for their crawl space. The before photo shows a damp and uninviting atmosphere, a typical challenge in unsealed areas. We fixed this by installing SilverGlo crawl space insulation and CleanSpace encapsulation systems, along with Drainage Matting and TerraBlock. These upgrades transformed the space into a clean and energy-efficient environment, reducing moisture and potential mold issues. The after photo captures a healthier and properly sealed foundation, ready for further renovation efforts.
