A retaining wall that was previously removed 25 years ago and had been placed next to the house foundation caused some damage to the house foundation. The retaining wall that was removed was tipping from water damage, no drains had been installed, a not enough rebarb was used when it was installed. The new retaining wall is in very good shape and has had no issues. Over the years the concrete that was used to fix the damage has shrunk leaving a large space between the house foundation and the retaining wall. Erickson Foundation Supportworks sealed the crack with polyurethane foam and a new top leayer of concrete to smooth it out.

This older foundation on a home in Derry, NH was part stone and part concrete. The stone parts were crumbling and allowing for soil to be pouring into the basement area. The overall stability of the wall was poor, and so Erickson installed an auxillary wall along with some PowerBraces to fully stabilize the wall and clean up the look of the basement.

This is especially true since many older crawl spaces were vented due to mistaken beliefs about home construction. These vents make it easy for mold and rot to occur, causing issues throughout the home like uneven floors, foul smells, worsened allergy symptoms, and more.

Radon gas is colorless, odorless, and as cancer-causing as to//bacco and asbestos. Radon gas is produced from the decaying of rocks and soil and comes up from the ground into your crawlspace and basements. The way our radon mitigation systems works in a pipe collects the gases that are coming from the soil. The gas is then piped upwards where a depressurization vent forces the radon out from your home. Our radon mitigation system is completely compatible with the current waterproofing system in your home. In Derry, NH, we recently had the opportunity to assist a homeowner who faced persistent issues with moisture and failing insulation in their crawl space. The previous insulation no longer adhered to the joists due to the damp conditions, prompting concerns about mold growth and reduced energy efficiency. Understanding the importance of securing a reliable and lasting solution, the homeowner turned to Erickson Foundation Solutions.
Starting with a meticulous inspection conducted by our System Design Specialist Chuck Benedict, it was determined that a comprehensive insulation and encapsulation strategy was needed. Our recommendation included the installation of SilverGlo, Drainage Matting, TerraBlock, and the CleanSpace encapsulation system. These components not only address moisture prevention but also improve the overall structural integrity of the crawl space. The production team, led by an experienced foreman, commenced with strategically placing CleanSpace Drainage Matting across the floor to ensure optimal water flow towards existing drainage channels. This tactic was followed by the careful installation of TerraBlock, which provided both insulation and a durable liner for the irregular surface. Next, the crawl space walls were fitted with SilverGlo panels, delivering exceptional insulation and acting as a robust vapor barrier. Lastly, the CleanSpace liner was meticulously applied to encapsulate the area, culminating in an effective defense against moisture invasion.
Upon completion, the homeowner reported a noticeable improvement in indoor air quality and energy efficiency. By reinforcing the crawl space, we assured the homeowner of a long-lasting solution that reduces mold risks and energy costs. Erickson Foundation Solutions achieved a remarkable transformation, underscoring our mission to redefine industry standards with outstanding service and permanent results.

In Derry, MA, a homeowner contended with a significant issue in their finished basement—persistent water infiltration resulting in mold and damage to the flooring. This led to an unfortunate need to remove their flooring and left the area unusable and damp. Erickson Foundation Solutions was contacted to address this urgent problem.
Our trustworthy Customer Care Specialist promptly scheduled a home inspection, beginning our seamless and professional approach to solving such issues. Upon inspection, our highly trained System Design Specialist Victor Tapia diagnosed the problem's root cause and recommended an effective, long-term solution. The chosen plan involved installing our WaterGuard® system, the TripleSafe™ sump pump, and IceGuard® discharge line protection. These systems work in harmony to ensure a dry, safe, and usable basement. Our production team, led by seasoned foreman Anthony LoCascio, meticulously installed the WaterGuard® along the perimeter of the basement. Unobtrusively concealed beneath new concrete, it efficiently channels any walled and foundational seepage towards the TripleSafe™ sump pump. The TripleSafe™ provides three layers of protection, ensuring the homeowner never has to worry about basement flooding, even during power outages or when faced with overwhelming water volumes. To counter the freezing risks typical to our region, the IceGuard® was put in place. This piece ensures water is discharged properly even if the external lines face freezing conditions.
Upon completion, the basement was free from moisture issues, clean, and ready to be restored back to a livable ecosystem. The transformation was delivered with punctuality, professionalism, and a thorough clean-up, reassuring the homeowner of our commitment to redefining their construction experience. A property manager in Derry, NH, encountered an issue with the concrete floors in the building's boiler and locker rooms. Concerned about potential safety hazards and motivated to preserve the integrity of the building, they noticed that the floors had begun to settle unevenly, creating a rocky and unstable walking surface.
Upon contacting Erickson Foundation Solutions, one of our Customer Care Specialists promptly scheduled a home inspection appointment. Our experienced System Design Specialist Peter Carstean visited the site, conducted a comprehensive assessment, and diagnosed the root cause of the floor's instability. We proposed using our PolyLevel® system, a proven method for stabilizing, lifting, and leveling concrete slabs. Recognized for its precision and efficiency, PolyLevel® employs a high-strength polyurethane foam that expands as it cures to lift the concrete. Our dedicated production team, including foreman Dan Dudek and skilled installers, began the job by drilling small, discreet holes in the affected area of the slabs. Through these holes, they carefully injected the polyurethane foam, ensuring it filled the voids beneath the concrete. As the foam expanded and cured, it gently lifted the slabs back to their original position, effectively eliminating the unevenness and stabilizing the floor.
The results were immediate: residents now had a safe, level walking surface in the boiler and locker rooms. Erickson Foundation Solutions completed the project with professionalism and efficiency, underpinning our commitment to delivering remarkable customer experiences and durable solutions. Residents and management were pleased to find the complex restored to a safe and stable condition, reinforcing their trust in our expert services.

Our System Design Specialist visited the house, taking the time to thoroughly inspect the issue areas. He discovered the cause of the leaks and proposed a solution that ensured not just repair but prevention of future water intrusion. Excited and hopeful, the homeowner agreed to the recommended solution – installing a WaterGuard drainage system, a TripleSafe Sump Pump for efficient pumping, and the IceGuard system designed to prevent backup during freezing temperatures. Our production team arrived with all the necessary tools and a clear plan. They started with installing the WaterGuard along the basement's perimeter, a discreet yet effective internal drainage system designed to capture wall and floor seepage. Next, the TripleSafe Sump Pump was installed, the heart of our waterproofing system, ready to handle even the heaviest rainfall with its triple pump design including a backup battery system to ensure operation even during a power outage. Finally, the IceGuard system was fitted to the exterior discharge lines to protect against ice or foliage blockages.

Our well-oiled production team led by foreman Justin Broussard took over, installing the WaterGuard, an efficient interior perimeter drainage system designed to catch wall seepage and ground water. Then came the TripleSafe Sump Pump, the hero of the story, ensuring the basement remains dry all year round by providing triple protection from floods. Recently, a homeowner in Derry, NH, reached out to us at Erickson Foundation Solutions with a pressing issue. Their garage was gradually sinking on one side, a problem they traced back to a failing lally column that no longer provided the needed support.
Understanding the urgency, our Customer Care team swiftly arranged for an inspection by one of our System Design Specialists, Nikki Burke. Upon inspection, it was clear; the old lally column had to go. But, instead of replacing it with another of the same, our specialist recommended installing a SmartJack—a strong, steel support system designed precisely for such issues. The SmartJack would not only stabilize the current slant but also ensure a long-lasting solution to prevent future problems. Our production team, led by experienced foreman Neal Foley, took on the challenge. They meticulously removed the faulty column, prepared the base, and installed the SmartJack. The process was smooth from start to finish, causing minimal disruption to the homeowner's daily life. And before you knew it, the garage was as stable as ever, almost as if the problem was never there to begin with.
The homeowner was thrilled with the outcome. Not only was their garage safe and reliable again, but the worry of future structural issues was off their shoulders. Our approach was twofold – not only did we aim to solve the existing water intrusion problem, but we also set out to prevent future issues. The recommendation? Our System Design Specialist, Debra Rayborn, armed with knowledge and expertise, visited the home, conducted a thorough inspection of the basement, and diagnosed the causes of the water intrusion. Their recommendation? The installation of a SuperSump pump system paired with an IceGuard system to ensure year-round protection, even in freezing temperatures. Our dedicated production team, comprising of foreman Abdou Taal and experienced installers, took to the task with vigor. Installation was not just about placing equipment but ensuring that the homeowner’s basement was prepared for a long-term solution. The SuperSump pump was set up to efficiently evacuate water out and away from the home, while the IceGuard system was installed to prevent potential blockages due to ice or debris, ensuring that the discharge lines remain effective even in the harshest of winters. Kevin C. of Derry, New Hampshire noticed water entering his finished basement in recent weeks. As someone who is getting older and is looking to downsize, he wanted to waterproof the basement to maintain the value of the home when going to sell. In order to do this, he reached out to Erickson Foundation Solutions.
A Design Specialist came out to the home to inspect the basement. After inspection, we recommended installing our WaterGuard perimeter drainage and TripleSafe sump pump system to waterproof the basement. This WaterGuard drainage collects water along the perimeter of the foundation footing and diverts it to the sump pump basin. The sump pump system rests in that basin and pumps water out of the house through an exterior drainage line. Our installation crew put these systems in place by chipping out the concrete on the border of the foundation. Once the debris was removed, the perimeter drainage was put in place along with crushed stone to provide a sturdy base and prevent clogging. Then, concrete was chipped out in place of where the sump pump system was to be installed. A basin was created to allow the water to flow to the sump pump. The TripleSafe system was then put in place and connected to the perimeter drainage system. With these systems fully installed, they were then cemented in place. The exterior drainage line was then installed to the sump pump system. Our IceGuard discharge system was then added to exterior drainage line to prevent frozen pipes and flooding.
After completion of the project, foreman Mike Lyall performed a walkthrough with Kevin to go over all the work that was done and answer any questions he had. With the new waterproofing system in place, Kevin was thrilled to uphold the value of his home and maintain a dry basement!
A homeowner in Derry, New Hampshire, has been living in their home for over 25 years. They have made a few improvements and added some extensions to the house. One of the additions was installed at the back of the house, which required the creation of new foundation walls and a crawlspace. However, about 8 years ago, they started to notice a musty smell stemming from the crawlspace, indicating the presence of mold. They reached out to EFS for a free inspection of their crawlspace. Our Design Specialist, Peter Carstean, met with the homeowner, inspected the crawlspace, and recommended installing a CleanSpace Wall, FlexiSpan, and a 10-foot Buried Downspout to address the problem.
Our installation team arrived at the homeowner's property and started by installing the FlexiSpan over a 5-foot crack in the foundation's corner, where most of the moisture was seeping in and causing increased humidity in the crawlspace. After the FlexiSpan installation, the team proceeded to install our CleanSpace, which is a white sheet that covers the floors and walls of the crawlspace and prevents moisture from penetrating it. To secure each sheet to the floors and walls, we use a special white adhesive tape called CleanSpace Tape, which holds the vapor barrier in place and prevents moisture from seeping in. This system will lower the relative humidity inside the crawlspace and prevent the growth of mold spores. Once everything in the crawlspace was installed, the team then proceeded to install a buried downspout to address the homeowner's issue with water runoff collecting in their yard. We installed a 10-foot buried downspout to carry water further away from their downspout from their gutters.
After completing the installation, our team walked the homeowner through what we had installed and how it would address the problem. The homeowners were very satisfied with the results of the project.
This homeowner in Derry, New Hampshire, has lived in their home for the past 7-8 years. The home was built in 1984 but when they bought it in 2015 they noticed that the bulkhead allowed water to leak into the basement. Now 7-8 years later the bulkhead is still allowing water into the basement so they decided to call EFS for a free inspection of their bulkhead and basement. Our Design Specialist Bryan Barnard met with the homeowner and inspected the bulkhead and the basement to find a solution to stop the water from leaking in. After his inspection, Bryan recommended installing a new bulkhead.
Out Installation Team led by Bob Labrie and Brendan Edwards began by removing the old bulkhead from the home. Once removed, the team began to install the new bulkhead. We made sure to seal around the edges of the bulkhead to make sure water couldn't travel under or around it and get into the basement. Once everything was installed the team did a walkthrough with the homeowner to show them everything that was installed.
The homeowner was very pleased with the look and functionality of the new bulkhead.
A homeowner in Derry, New Hampshire has lived in their early 1900s home for almost 2 years and has noticed that the floors were sloping. The homeowner decided to call EFS for a free inspection. Our Design Specialist recommended installing SmartJacks into the basement to eliminate any sagging and sloping of the floors.
Our team began by chipping out sections of concrete in the basement so we could install our SmartJacks to the floor system of the home. Once the concrete was chipped out the team installed our footings and then cut our SmartJacks to size so we could attach them to the floor system. The team attached the SmartJacks to the floor system by using an adjustable top and some heavy-duty screws. Once attached the team was able to use the adjustable top and lift up on the floor system. After the floor was adjusted the team then mixed concrete and set the footings of the SmartJacks in concrete.
The homeowner was impressed by our SmartJacks fixing the sloping and sagging floors in their home.
A homeowner in Derry, New Hampshire, has lived in their home for the past 13 years. About 2 years ago the homeowners have noticed water entering their basement from their bulkhead. They tried to repair the issue themselves with a bandaid fix but less than a year later the fix didn't hold up. Now the homeowners would like to find a permanent fix so they reached out to EFS for a free inspection of their basement. Our Design Specialist Victor inspected the basement and recommended using a combination of WaterGuard, TrenchGuard, CleanSpace, and an UltraSump to collect any water that enters the basement.
Our installation team began by installing our UltraSump on the wall next to the bulkhead. The team chipped out some concrete and removed some dirt so they could install the sump pump flush with the floor. Then they plumbed the sump to the exterior of the home and installed an IceGuard and an exterior drainage line too. Next, the team chipped out the perimeter of the bulkhead and along the wall that the bulkhead was on so we can install our WaterGuard against the walls to collect any water. The WaterGuard will all lead back to the UltraSump so it can send the water out of the basement. Additionally, on the bulkhead walls, the team installed CleanSpace to direct the water to the WaterGuard which will be sent to the UltraSump.
The homeowner was very pleased with the results of the project. They haven't seen any water in their basement since EFS installed the perimeter drainage system.
A homeowner in Derry, New Hampshire, had moved into their home at the beginning of 2022. The house was built in late 2021 and after living in it for almost a year they noticed a crack in their garage and the garage apron was deteriorating. The homeowners wanted to preserve their new home and prevent things from getting worse. They decided to call EFS for a free inspection and our Design Specialist recommended repairing the apron and sealing the apron.
Our production team began by chipping out the apron of the garage. After the old apron was removed the team then set up a form to pour a new one. Once they poured and smoothed the apron they had to wait for it to cure, so they then used NexusPro to seal the crack in the garage. To prevent any further cracking the team injected some PolyLevel under the garage slab to fill any voids under the concrete.
The homeowners were very happy with the results of the project. They don't have to worry about their garage deteriorating anymore. The homeowner can now focus on keeping the rest of their home in good condition for years to come.
The owner of a duplex in Derry, New Hampshire, has owned the duplex for 12 years. The duplex was built in the 1980s and they noticed the Bulkhead door that leads into the split basement had seen better days. The owners would like to replace the bulkhead door, so they decided to call EFS for a free inspection. Our design specialist measured the bulkhead opening and recommended a bulkhead for the owners.
Our production team began by removing the old bulkhead from the duplex. After the old bulkhead was removed the team then began to set up the new bulkhead. The team installed the bulkhead and made sure it was secured and sealed correctly.
The owners were happy with the look of the new bulkhead.
A home in Derry, New Hampshire, had been put on the market. A potential buyer asked if someone from EFS could inspect the home's foundation before they think about purchasing the home. Our design specialist inspected the home and found some bowing and settlement in the foundation walls. The potential buyer was still worried about the foundation issues. The design specialist presented a solution. The solution was to install 7 PowerBraces to the back foundation wall and prevent the wall from bowing further.
The potential buyer ended up purchasing the home. After the purchase was complete, our production team installed the braces onto the foundation wall to add strength and rigidity to the wall.
A home in Derry, New Hampshire, recently had EFS install Geolocks to the rear of the garage to stop the garage from collapsing. Our team stabilized the garage foundation and then needed to level the garage slab and seal the cracks in the slab. Our production crew used PolyLevel in the garage to level the slab and then used NexusPro to seal the cracks. The homeowners are relieved that their garage was stabilized and repaired properly and is backed up by our warranty.
This homeowner in Derry, New Hampshire has lived in their home for 49 years. In the past 2-3 years they started to notice some cracking in the detached garage floor along with some sinking in some areas. Over the past couple of years, as they watched the cracks get bigger and bigger, they couldn't help but worry about a potential collapse of their garage. They decided to call EFS for a free inspection.
Design Specialist Michael LaMalfa inspected the interior and exterior of the garage to understand what is causing the garage floor to crack. Design Specialist Chris Greenwood did a full interior and exterior inspection of the home. During his inspection, Chris had found some more cracking on the exterior of the foundation. Chris found the root cause of the cracks in the foundation is because the home is sinking on one side. For a foundation to start sinking it could be that there is poor water drainage, poor soil under the home, and some other root causes. Chris advised the homeowner that installing Push Piers to the home will stop the home from sinking. The homeowner agreed.
Crew Lead Scott Crandall and his team arrived at the home and installed 10 Push Pier to the foundation.

Design Specialist Jason Vachon arrived at Jennifer's home and inspected her basement for cracks. Jason found two cracks in the foundation that are right behind where the front stoop is. Jason recommended to Jennifer that it would be a good idea to have the EFS crew install Sentry Seal around the front of her foundation so that no more water can enter the basement.
Crew Lead Brandon Edwards and Installation Specialist Kyle DeChane and Brian Somers came to the home and installed Sentry Seal. The team had to dig and expose the foundation. Once the foundation is exposed, they attached the Sentry Seal to the foundation wall. The Sentry Seal will not allow any water to enter the basement.

This homeowner in Derry, New Hampshire lives on Beaver Lake and has been experiencing unlevel floors and the corner of their porch is sinking. Design Specialist Royce Potts came to the home and walked through the home and the basement to better understand what conditions the house was in. He suggested that they install SmartJacks in the crawlspace of the home to add support and lift it some.

This customer was having a sunroom installed on top of their existing deck. The deck was not built for supporting a structure above, and so additional supports were needed below. There was only about 3.5 feet of space beneath the deck, and so getting underneath to dig and pour new concrete piers would not be an easy task.
EZ Posts were an ideal solution, as the existing deck floor was going to be completely covered by the sunroom. This allowed our Erickson Foundation Supportworks crew to cut small holes into the surface of the deck. Through these holes we were able to install EZ posts with our Bobcat using pier extensions.
A project which would have taken 2-3 crew members one or more days to complete was finished within 4 hours. The EZ Posts were installed at depths ranging from 7 to 9 feet. We removed some concrete pillars in order to install two of our EZ Posts, these concrete pillars being only two feet deep. It was a good decision to replace them!
This homeowner in Derry, NH contacted us as she noticed a large crack in her garage wall near a corner. Upon inspection, our design specialist observed there were few signs of settling within the house aside from windows being slightly stuck. However, on the outside of the garage, there were significant signs of sinking which would then lead to extensive damage within the home.
The solution; push piers to raise the sinking corner 3-4 inches and prevent the foundation from sinking any further.
We excavated the outside of the garage down to the footing of the foundation. We found the general contractor who built the home placed the footings and foundation directly on stumps and trees, which of course is a big mistake. As the trees decomposed, the ground began to sink and took the foundation with it.
Our push piers were securely fastened to the bottom of the footings on the foundation and driven down 10-12 feet, beneath the sinking soil and into the bedrock below. This will prevent the home from sinking any further. We also slightly lifted the footing up to the bottom of the foundation to reconnect them, however chose to not lift the house too much as there was little damage within the house. Lifting the house too much could possibly have cracked the drywall.
Problem solved and customer satisfied.
