Foundation Repair Before & After Photos

In Arlington, MA, a homeowner faced a challenging issue: a loosening and crumbling fieldstone foundation wall. As you can see, this caused the brick wall topper to deteriorate, with bricks falling apart. To address this, we utilized our PowerBrace System, a permanent stabilization solution for foundation walls. Zinc-plated steel beams were tailored to the basement's height and securely anchored, removing any further inward movement. We then reinforced the area with our StableLock auxiliary wall. Our solution restored stability and security to the foundation’s structural integrity.

Tom A. of Arlington, Massachusetts has a fieldstone foundation that was crumbling, and wanted to know what options he had. Tom had called EFS to see if they could send out someone out to look at his home. Erickson Foundation Solutions sent out Design Specialist Michael Bradley to the home. Michael inspected the basement of the home and proposed a Poly Foam to coat the inside of the fieldstone foundation and then SmartJacks to add support to some of the older beams in the home. 

Crew Lead Spencer Ladd and his team came to the home and sprayed the foam and installed the new SmartJacks into the basement. After the project, Tom actually likes the look more with the white foam finish than the untouched fieldstone. 

This homeowner in Andover, Massachusetts, had noticed cracks forming in the wall of their foundation. The cracks had gotten more significant over time due to settlement and had started to leak water. The homeowners decided to call EFS for a free inspection and to help determine the best solution.  After the inspection was completed by our Design Specialist, we recommended installing 8 Push Piers and FlexiSpan around the front left corner of the home to stabilize the foundation and seal the cracks that were allowing water into the basement. The piers were the ideal permanent solution, ensuring no further settlement would occur. 

This homeowner in Andover, MA, recently moved in and noticed sloping floors, as shown in the before photo. Our inspection revealed inadequately supported lally columns in their basement. To address this foundational concern, we installed the SmartJack® System. This lake-side home in Nottingham, New Hampshire, had supports at the back of their home that were rusted and failing. They reached out to EFS for a free inspection of their home. Our Design Specialist met with the homeowner inspected the foundation and recommended installing Helical Piers on the back of the home and encased them in an Auxiliary Wall. We installed the Helical Piers and then set up our forms and encased the piers in concrete to lock them into place.
