Foundation Repair Before & After Photos

The foundation of this home in Woburn, MA was built on and within ledge rock. Over time, soils moved and the walls were shifting and cracking. With so much ledge, there were few options available for repairs. However, PowerBraces were the perfect solution, along with pouring a new, reinforced wall to contain and enhance the system.

This homeowner in Woburn, Massachusetts had their insurance company come out and tell them that they need to fix a crack in their foundation. They called Erickson Foundation Supportworks because we had done some work for them in the past. 

Michael LaMalfa was the Design Specialist on this project. He designed an effective solution to a cracked and bowing foundation wall. He proposed Geolocks to stop the wall from bowing. Then, pour a secondary auxillary wall to reinforce it entirely, as well as dress it up a bit.

The before pictures show the wall had bulges from its bowing. The after picture shows what it looked like after the auxillary wall was poured.

When our customer in Freedom, NH, noticed concerning cracks around their egress window, they knew it was time to call in experts. Before, as seen in the photo, these cracks were a clear sign of foundation issues, but now, notice the difference. With our durable PowerBrace system in place, we’ve not only corrected the foundational instability but also given our client peace of mind. A condominium association located in Brighton, Massachusetts, encountered a problem with a couple of units that had sinking foundations. The association sought help from EFS to find a solution for this issue. Our Design Specialist, was assigned to meet with the association's manager to inspect the affected condos and suggest the appropriate solutions for each case. After the inspection, we recommended the installation of Push Piers, Helical Piers, and a slab pour to stabilize the foundation and repair the basement slab for one of the condos. 

It was the ideal permanent solution, and with the new poured slab floor to replace the existing broken up basement slab, the unit now had a stabilized foundation and a clean space.

A new homeowner in East Hampstead, New Hampshire, spent over a year searching for a home. They have only been in the home for a couple of weeks and are looking for floor stabilization on the main floor. The homeowner decided to call EFS for a free inspection.
