A homeowner in Melrose, Massachusetts, had found a large crack in their foundation wall that they were concerned with. The homeowners called EFS for a free inspection of their foundation. Our Design Specialist/ Project Manager Nate Erickson inspected the home and found that the home was settling and had caused the foundation to crack and begin to bow. Nate recommended installing GeoLocks and Push Piers to the foundation of the home to stabilize the wall and foundation from bowing and settling.
This homeowner in Melrose, Massachusetts was experiencing sagging in the main support beam of their home. They would like to have the main beam repaired so it doesn't get any worse. The homeowners consider this their forever home and want to make sure the home stays in good condition. The homeowner decided to call EFS for a free inspection.
Design Specialist Kenny Calabrese inspected the basement and looked specifically at the main beam in the basement. Kenny recommended installing SmartJacks along the main beam in the basement.
Crew Lead Ed Nadreau and his team installed 4 SmartJacks under the main support beam in the basement.
The homeowner of this property had been living here for about a year, and knew he had to get around to fixing his sagging floors. The support columns throughout the basement were not to code, and the beam and floor joists were sagging in several places. Steel I-beams and SmartJacks were installed to replace all these columns, raise the floor slightly in places, and permanently stabilize the floors.
This homeowner in Malden, Massachusetts had an issue where the original brick and wooden porch supports of this 1890 Victorian home need to be repaired. The beams are slipping off of the piers in some places and would like for Erickson to come and look at them.
Design Specialist Kyle Jamerson came to the home and gave a full inspection of the porch. He decided that the porch would need new perimeter supports along with some additional support towards the middle. He proposed that the perimeter supports be 5 EZ posts and the interior supports be 4 SmartJacks.
Crew Lead Spencer Ladd and his team came to the home and followed the plan Kyle proposed. They installed the SmartJacks first to add support to the middle of the porch. After the SmartJacks, they installed all 5 of the EZ posts.
The homeowner was very happy with the project.
A homeowner in Malden, Massachusetts is looking to remodel their home. Before making that investment, they want to make sure that the foundation is providing enough support to the home so that floors will be level. Our Erickson Foundation Solutions team looked forward to providing a permanent solution to stabilize and support the home.
After completing a free home inspection, our Design Specialist recommended installing SmartJacks in the basement. These SmartJacks would replace old and decaying Lally columns that could no longer provide the support to the structure that was needed. Our SmartJacks are posts that provide permanent support to the home. They are made of galvanized steel which prevents corrosion and can support 60,000lbs.
The SmartJacks were cemented into the foundation on a sturdy base and attached to a supplemental support beam. With these durable posts in place, the home is now properly supported. This homeowner can now remodel their home with confidence that floors are level and will remain level.
