Foundation Repair Before & After Photos

A homeowner in Salem, MA noticed sinking and sagging floors in his home. Looking to permanently stabilize the floors and provide support to the home, he reached out to Erickson Foundation Solutions.

Our Design Specialist, Kenneth Calabrese, recommended installing SmartJacks in the basement. These SmartJacks are similar to Lally columns, while offering more support and providing permanent stability. Typically, these SmartJacks are cemented into the foundation. Since the basement floor was composed of pebbles, the SmartJack steel plates were buried in them. This allows for the SmartJacks to be cemented into the foundation if/when the homeowner has a concrete slab poured.

With the installation of these 5 SmartJacks, the floors are now stabilized and level.

In Swampscott, MA, the homeowner faced significant foundation issues, evident from temporary jacks, corroded lally columns, and a loose column failing to support the structure. This not only compromised the foundation integrity but also posed safety risks. At Erickson Foundation Solutions, we addressed these problems with our SmartJack® system. Our installation of galvanized steel SmartJacks® created a stable base, attaching securely to existing girders. Yvonne H. has a beach house in Seabrook, New Hampshire, and his beach house was sinking and needed to be releveled. Yvonne called Erickson Foundation Solutions to see if they could come up with a solution for him. 

Design Specialist David Cormier came to Yvonne's beach home. David inspected the home and proposed that the Erickson team install EZ Post to the perimeter of the home and Smart Jack to the interior of the home. 

Crew Lead Scott Crandall and his team came to the beach home and installed the EZ post and Smart Jacks to stabilize the home. 

A homeowner in Hampton, New Hampshire, had concerns with their foundation settling. They reached out to EFS for someone to look at their foundation. Our Design Specialist recommended installing Push Piers under the foundation of the home to prevent the home from further settlement. 

A condominium on Hampton Beach, New Hampshire, was experiencing a myriad of foundation issues. The foundation was cracking, shifting, and falling back into a marsh. Senior Design Specialist Michael LaMalfa came to the condo and examined all of the units and the surroundings of the building to gauge what repairs the building would need. He proposed that the first action item would be Geolock Anchors along the back wall and sides of the building. 

Crew Lead Spencer Ladd and his team came and drilled through the concrete in each of the 10 units garages to install Geolocks from the back wall to the trench in the garage. A large galvanized metal plate is put on each side of a metal rod that is drilled between the trench and the back wall to hold things in place. 

Over a span of two and a half months, the crew installed a few different foundation securing devices.
